A short but useful thing to know: keyboard shortcut for typing in a URL. This works for Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer, on both a PC and a Mac. Any url that starts with a "www" and ends in ".com" can be entered into the address bar as a truncated version, with a special keystroke that automatically adds "http://www." to the beginning and ".com" to the end, saving 14 keystrokes each time.
For instance, to go to http://www.ReevesDigital.com, type in "reevesdigital" into your address bar, then:
- In IE, Firefox or Google Chrome on a PC, CTRL-Enter
- In Firefox on a Mac, CMD-Return
- In Google Chrome on a Mac, CTRL-Return
Sadly Safari doesn't do this from what I've tried.
